Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of Cattle do you raise?
Angus cattle. Our herd consists of outstanding genetics, which allows us to yield sizable and healthy calves without growth hormones. This gives our cattle the ability to reach their full weight potential naturally.
Are your cattle grass fed?
Our herd is turned out in pastures free feeding on all the grass they desire. During the winter season, we do feed them hay twice a day to make up for the frozen grounds and lack of grass present. We grow the alfalfa hay right here on the ranch to ensure the best quality.
Do you raise your own animals?
Yes! We started our herd with carefully selected Cows and Bulls in 2015. We have continued to raise our cattle from birth ever since.
Our pigs, however, are outsourced from a trusted supplier. Although we do not raise our pigs from birth, we do house our pigs from weaning age to ensure quality prior to butchering.
What breed of pigs do you have?
We have registered Berkshire Pigs. Berkshire pigs are known for a higher pH; which makes their meat darker, firmer, and more exquisite. It is also heavily marbled, which makes it great for long cooking and high-temp cooking.
What is B-H?
"B Bar H" is derived from the owner's last names; the Bowers and Hoff Families.
Where are you located?
We are located in the beautiful Southern Utah area. We chose this location based on its exceptional agricultural growth, as well as its rich heritage.
Are your animals hormone free?
Yes. We do not use any hormonal or steroid implants to promote growth in our animals. We believe natural growth creates a more appealing and savory product.
How long can my meat cuts last in the freezer? How long in the refrigerator?
If the product remains frozen and the vacuum seal remains completely intact, our meat will last up to 12 months in the freezer. Once it is thawed it will last in the refrigerator up to 10 days.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, you can cancel your order. However, if your order has already shipped then you are unable to cancel your order at that point. Shipped orders may NOT be cancelled.
How long does it take for my order to be processed?
Orders ship the Monday,Tuesday or Wednesday following when you placed your order. This ensures your package is not delayed over the weekend; as it is a time sensitive shipment, we want to make sure it arrives to you still cold. If there is a delay for any reason we will notify you promptly.
Do I need to make sure I’m home to receive my order?
You don’t need to be home, but we HIGHLY suggest that arrangements are made in order to receive your shipment as soon as possible. Getting your products into the freezer IMMEDIATELY is the best way to ensure that they do not perish. We are NOT responsible for products that thaw on the doorstep.
